Hungates opened for business in 1972. Orignally operating under the name 'Hungates Arts & Crafts', Hungates became the plasce to go for all your art & craft needs. Through the years the business has changed & evolved into what we are today, Creative Toys & Hobbies by Hungate's. We are a mid-sized company with our corporate office based out of Greenville, NC. At this location we currently have 8 employees plus " Sam " , our head of security (yellow lab). In addition we have 9 retail stores all located in major malls throughout North Carolina and Virginia, and currently employ over 130 people.

We specialize in Toys & Hobbies for the whole family including: Airbrush Supplies, Radio Control Vehicles, Rocketry Items, Puzzles, Games, Chess Sets, Frisbee Golf, Plastic & Wooden Model Kits, Model Trains, Playmobil, LEGO, Baby Dolls, Tools, Science and Educational Items, Telescopes, Pinewood Derby, Slot Car Race Sets, Craft Supplies, Thomas the Train, Rock Tumblers, Kites, Stamp & Coin Collectables, plus tons of unique and hard-to-find items!
